The carrier and fabric is super soft and sturdy. In addition it secures well, and comes with instructions on how to do different ties for first time mothers like myself. My only caveat is that it is a one size fits all and it comes with a lot of fabric, so petite and shorty mama's like me should be aware putting it on can be a little bit of a production. We ended up using this at home and supplementing with a structured carrier for on-the-go situations.
