The Baby Carrier 2

The carrier supports inward, outward and back carry from 7-33 lbs with weight gates mentioned for the newer version, but no minimum age for outward-facing carry is stated and no TICKS-style positioning documentation is published.

Colugo names ASTM F2236, the soft infant and toddler carrier standard, and several Canadian safety rules for its carrier, though this updated model is not named in that statement and no certificate or test report is published. The JPMA certification Colugo also claims for its carrier is not recorded by the Baby Safety Alliance, which lists no Colugo carrier among its verified soft infant carriers.

The carrier is sold as a hip-healthy ergonomic design whose body panel adjusts from 8.7 to 15.0 inches wide, across front-in, front-out and back carries from newborn to 35 lbs, though how the M-position holds at each width is not described. No current IHDI acknowledgement backs the claim, since the Institute does not list Colugo among the companies it acknowledges.

The brand's own materials disclosure for this carrier lists the shell and mesh as 100% polyester with polyurethane, polyethylene and EVA foam padding.

We queried the CPSC recall database directly across its full corpus and found no record naming this brand in any role. A control search confirms the registry covers comparable product classes like strollers and carriers, so the clean result reflects an actual clean history.

The carrier states a clear weight range of 7-33 lbs and describes magnetic one-touch buckles as the load-bearing hardware, though no load testing data or review-corpus pattern on buckle/ring/seam durability is published.

It undertakes internal and third-party testing meeting US safety regulations, without naming any flame-retardant-free or PFAS-free status, or any chemistry certificate, for this carrier's fabric.

Colugo calls its carrier JPMA certified and an IHDI-certified 'Hip Healthy' product, but neither issuer records it: the Baby Safety Alliance, which runs JPMA certification, lists no Colugo product among its verified soft infant carriers, and the International Hip Dysplasia Institute says it is not a certifying body and does not list Colugo among the companies it acknowledges.

It partners only with manufacturers who share its safety vision, without naming the country of manufacture, specific materials beyond organic cotton, or any warranty terms for this accessory.
