CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

83 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Bag Material Identity 83

The exterior is named as polyester canvas and the accents as vegan leather with nickel-free metal hardware, but the polymer behind 'vegan leather' (PU vs PVC) and the canvas coating chemistry are never identified.

Lead & Heavy-Metal Avoidance 83

The bag is formaldehyde-, phthalate-, BPA- and flame-retardant-free with nickel-free metal hardware, but no lead or heavy-metal statement is made and no Prop 65 position or test result is published for the shell, lining or hardware.

Fragrance, Dye & Lotion Free 78

The free-from claims cover formaldehyde, phthalates, BPA and flame retardants, but fragrance, dye and lotion are never mentioned anywhere for this bag.

PFAS-Free Water Resistance 76

The exterior canvas is marketed as water-resistant and wipeable with a fully wipeable interior lining, but nothing states what the water-resistance chemistry is or whether it is PFAS-free, and the same gap appears on a related product line.

Recall History 97

We queried the complete CPSC recall database, covering over 9,900 records back to 1973, and found no recall filed against Parker Baby Co. in any role. A control search confirms the database covers diaper bags and related categories, so this clean result is meaningful.

Certification Credibility 92

Parker Baby Co. states that products subject to children's product safety requirements are third-party tested by CPSC-accepted laboratories and backed by Children's Product Certificates, a named certification asserted for its products, though no certificate number is published.

Child-Adjacent Surfaces 78

A foldable changing pad and two insulated bottle pockets are included, but neither the changing pad's skin-contact surface nor the bottle-pocket liner material is named.

Ingredient Disclosure 84

The product features exterior polyester, interior nylon, vegan leather accents and nickel-free metal, but the insulated pocket liner, changing pad surface and any coating chemistry are not broken down layer by layer.

Skin-Contact Safety Testing 83

Third-party testing is claimed only against general federal safety standards through CPSC-accepted labs; no dermatological institute, skin-contact rating or named test method is given for this bag.

Transparency & Support 84

The bag is designed in Colorado but manufactured in unspecified countries, with no supplier named; a defects-only 6-month warranty and a repair-first policy are published, but country of manufacture and supplier are missing.

Load & Hardware Durability 69

Beyond care instructions and a 6-month workmanship warranty, the review corpus shows a recurring pattern of seam, stitching, strap and zipper failures within months of use, reported by multiple independent buyers of this bag.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Many reviewers praise the abundant pockets and organization, comfortable straps, and hands-free backpack design for daily use with kids.
Several customers say the bag holds up well over long-term use, with some reporting years of daily use without issue.
A recurring complaint is that the bag does not stand upright on its own, tipping over when set down.
Many reviewers report durability problems such as stitching coming undone, seams ripping, zippers breaking, or straps fraying, sometimes within just a few months of use.
Some customers who experienced a failure with one bag say a replacement also developed the same issue, suggesting inconsistent quality.
A few reviewers feel the bag material or overall construction feels cheap despite the number of pockets.
Opinions on quality relative to expectations are mixed: some call it great quality and worth upgrading to, while others say quality has declined compared to older versions they owned.

Hands down the absolutely best diaper bag! We got a few others at a secondhand resale before someone gifted us this one. It is so comfortable and lightweight compared to other bags. The flap over the top helps prevent items from falling out if you are chasing a toddler and didn’t have a chance to close the zipper all the way 😂 and of course it’s so cute, but not super feminine so my husband isn’t insecure carrying it. 100% worth every penny!

I’ve been using this back pack for 3 years. It’s solid!

I received this bag as a gift and it has lived up to all my expectations. Perfectly fits everything needed for my little one. One of the snaps broke and customer service immediately began the process of sending a replacement. Could not have been more seamless. Thanks Emma in Customer Service!

I’ve only had this bag for 6 months and use it mainly on the weekends and the stitching is constantly coming undone. I’ve had backpacks for years and that’s never been an issue.

I bought this a few months ago. Love all the pockets and that I can see most of the small things in the front mom pouch….but my goodness this thing cannot stand up on its own. Constantly falling forward which gets frustrating. That is the reason we are searching for another new bag.
