CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

86 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Wound-Adjacent Material Safety 84

The full ingredient list is disclosed, naming witch hazel, glycerin, cucumber extract, lavender oil and peppermint oil, but the formula includes fragrance-contributing essential oils rather than a fragrance-free formulation for wound-adjacent use, despite a listing describing it as unscented.

Adult-Product Boundary 92

The spray is marketed strictly within a postpartum maternal-recovery bundle alongside sitz bath, balm, and nursing products, with no infant sleep, lounging, or positioning use suggested anywhere in the merchandising we reviewed.

Recovery Claim Honesty 92

Directions frame the spray as a comfort and soothing aid for use after urination and bathing rather than a medical treatment claim, and the standard FDA disclaimer distancing the product from disease treatment or cure claims is displayed, keeping the claim inside a wellness frame.

Intimate-Hygiene Manufacture 76

The spray states for external use only but does not publish a preservative system or an expiry/batch date policy specific to this water-based topical; the brand's best-by dating is described elsewhere as a loose freshness guide rather than a strict expiry.

Recall History 95

We queried the CPSC recall database directly across its full 1973-2026 corpus and found no recall record for this brand in any role; a control search confirmed the corpus does cover comparable product classes. Independent lab testing has flagged lead in a sibling sunscreen product, an unresolved concern outside this spray's category.

Certification Credibility 87

A retailer listing states this spray carries EWG Verified certification, but the certification is asserted for the brand's product catalog broadly and the brand's own named certifiers (Oregon Tilth, FoodChain ID, Leaping Bunny) are documented for other specific products, not clearly tied to this spray by name.

Material Chemistry 77

This is a liquid herbal spray, not a textile, fill or foam product, so there is no cover fabric, stuffing or flame-retardant chemistry to disclose. Nothing on the ingredient list or packaging addresses PFAS, formaldehyde finishes or antimicrobial treatments because none of those component types exist in this format.

Postpartum Fit & Sizing 77

The perineal spray is a liquid bottle with no garment, waistband or compression element, so there is no measurement-based size chart or compression level for us to find published anywhere for this product.

Transparency & Support 91

The full ingredient composition is published for this spray down to each named botanical extract and oil. The manufacturing location (Clackamas, Oregon) is also disclosed, though a warranty or repair route doesn't apply to a single-use topical.

Reuse & Care Clarity 77

This is a spray used until the bottle runs out, not a washable pad or reusable item, so there is no wash-cycle survival data to publish. The single-use nature itself is never stated plainly anywhere in its marketing.

Composition Disclosure 91

The full ingredient composition for this spray is published down to each botanical extract and oil, meeting the disclosure bar for a skin-contact topical, though this has not been independently verified against the finished bottle.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Many reviewers describe the spray as soothing and cooling for postpartum discomfort and say it helped their healing feel faster or more comfortable than hospital-provided sprays.
Several customers highlight the upside-down sprayer as an especially convenient feature for use in the postpartum period.
Some reviewers mention using the spray beyond its main purpose, such as as a facial toner or on minor skin irritations.

The upside down spray nozzle is genius and this spray works great and feels so good postpartum! It’s helpful for healing and love the clean ingredients!
Blair H.
I like that the ingredients are clean and the spray is cooling and fresh feeling for the sensitive areas during the postpartum healing phase. Once it’s almost empty, the sprayer isn’t as effective at getting the last ounces out for the down under area, because of the awkward reach and …gravity. Wish it were easier to use the last drops … but maybe there’s not much that can be done about that.
Heidi Q.
Im healing so well with the help of this spray. The tucks pads are good for the beginning but this is so much more practical and comfortable after you leave the hospital. It’s cooling even if you don’t put it in the fridge. Also it works upside down!
Rachel F.
This alongside the balm was great. Sometimes by itself, it did the job but the spray bottle would often leak when spraying…. Wasn’t a mess-free experience and didn’t always feel relieving on its own, so it didn’t get a 5 for me
Lee
I bought this spray the day after my daughter was born and had really been looking forward to it based on the amazing reviews. Unfortunately this did nothing for me. There was no "cooling" feeling, it literally just feels like misting my bottom in water. Given 2 stars due for the fact that the cucumber smell is so strong I am able to use it as a body spray, so it hasn't been a total waste of a purchase. Based on everyone's reviews I do feel I may have just gotten a bad batch, because I also bought the perennial balm and it is AMAZING!!
