Jerry the Blueberry

Jerry the Blueberry is named as 100% natural rubber from Hevea trees, free of PVC, BPA, phthalates and nitrosamines. A different Oli & Carol product was found by a regulator to release excessive nitrosatable substances generating nitrosamines, contradicting the brand's own nitrosamine-free claim for the product line.

Jerry the Blueberry is made in one piece with no internal hole, a specific construction detail that prevents bacteria and mold, and a customer review describes the toys as incredibly durable with no reported breakage.

Jerry the Blueberry is stated to comply with ASTM F963-17 and CPSIA (plus EN 71 parts 1,2,3,12), tested at named labs SGS and Bureau Veritas, with the same standards repeated consistently across the brand's other teether listings and a wholesale retailer's own certification data.

Jerry the Blueberry is labeled '0+ certified' and recommended for teething babies and older kids for bath play, but no small-parts test result or age-grading method is published for this specific toy. A past recall of a different Oli & Carol teether for failing a small-parts test is not evidence of a defect in this product.

The one-piece, no-hole design is claimed to be highly hygienic and mold-free, with care limited to hand-washing in soapy water. Independent hands-on testing found that Oli & Carol natural rubber floating bath toys turned slimy and developed mold despite this claim, directly contradicting it.

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly across its full corpus (1973-2026) and found no record naming Oli & Carol in any role. Controls confirm the toy category is well covered by the database, so the clean result reflects a genuinely clean history.

Jerry the Blueberry is claimed to comply with EN71 parts 1,2,3,12 and ASTM F963-17/CPSIA, tested at SGS and Bureau Veritas, but no certificate numbers are published. A regulatory finding shows a different Oli & Carol product failed EN 71-12 compliance, undercutting confidence in the blanket claim.

Handcrafted natural-pigment painting and natural rubber material are disclosed, but country of manufacture, warranty terms, and a repair/spare-parts route are not stated; a third-party source separately places manufacturing in Asia.
