This pillow was an absolute MUST with my son, and I recommend it to all my new mom friends. I had another brand as well, and we barely used that one in comparison. The flat surface of the My Brest Friend is so important because your baby doesn't slip off. Others are too rounded. If your baby is wiggly, it feels like they're going to roll off any second. Also, because of the convenient, wearable nature of the My Brest Friend, I wore mine around the house half the time in those early, sleep-deprived days of nursing. I would joke that I was turning into a flying saucer. I had my airpods in the little pocket and I was ready to roll! My son was also very colicky and needed to be bounced constantly on a yoga ball. Having him draped across the pillow horizontally and keeping my arms around the pillow to secure him, saved my back so much pain. It was like a little shelf for him to rest on while I gently bounced.
