Silicone Toddler Starter Spoons

The spoons are named as made from food-grade silicone, a clean material class for this criterion, disclosed for the finished product rather than a component.

The spoons are undecorated solid-color silicone with an embossed logo on the handle, away from the food-contact bowl, but no explicit statement addresses decoration or coating safety.

The spoons are food-grade silicone free of BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalates, which does address the BPS/BPF replacement gap, but no test method or migration result is given to support the claim.

Care guidance covers hand-washing or dishwasher top rack use and warns against harsh or scented cleaners, but says nothing about microwaving, sterilizing, or when to replace a scratched or worn spoon.

Care instructions say to wash with warm water and mild soap or place on the dishwasher top rack, gesturing at durability without stating a replacement interval or addressing heat-driven shedding.

We queried the complete CPSC recall registry (9,969 records, 1973-2026) for mushie and found one recall on record: a 2022 choking-hazard recall of FRIGG silicone pacifiers, handled with a public filing, no injuries reported. That recall sits in a different product category than these spoons.

The spoons are stated to be third-party tested to meet CPSIA, ASTM, and Prop 65 standards, naming multiple falsifiable specifics for the finished product rather than a single vague safety claim.

Materials are disclosed as food-grade silicone free of BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalates, but no country of manufacture, supplier, or warranty terms specific to this product are published.
