Skout Organic Small Batch Kids Bar Variety Pack - 36 Pack

Nothing is published about the wrapper material that holds each bar, its food-contact chemistry, or any migration testing of the packaging itself - the brand's disclosure covers ingredients and certifications only, not the packaging that touches the food.

This pack contains the Chocolate Peanut Butter Kids Bar. An independent lab test of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Kids Bar, reported in October 2024, found 42 ppb cadmium, 10 ppb lead and 6 ppb arsenic, with mercury not detected; cadmium and lead were above the action levels proposed in the 2021 Baby Food Safety Act. No recall or regulator action followed. Packs shipped to California also carry a Proposition 65 warning for lead.

Eight of the nine flavors carry 0 g added sugar and are sweetened only with organic dates and fruit; French Toast contains under 1 g of maple syrup, named as such.

The brand names every ingredient per flavor, states the bars are free of gluten, dairy and soy, and discloses that its shared facility also processes grain, wheat and eggs with a specific cleaning process between runs rather than a blanket disclaimer.

The bars are shelf-stable for 12 months from production, store at room temperature, and recommends a cool, dry place, but gives no guidance on an opened-pack window or behavior under heat exposure such as a hot car or lunchbox.

Every flavor lists its full ingredients, and the organic claim is scoped to the finished product and certified by a named certifier, Oregon Tilth, under the USDA National Organic Program - not limited to a single ingredient.

No recall naming Skout Organic appears in the FDA food recall and enforcement database, which covers reports from June 2012 to October 2026, and the same search does return other snack-bar recalls, so this is a clean record rather than a missed search.

The bars carry four named, finished-product certifications - USDA Organic (Oregon Tilth), Certified Vegan (Vegan.org), Certified Gluten-Free (GFCO), and Plastic Neutral (RePurpose Global) - each tied to an independent certifying body rather than a vague logo claim.

Full ingredient lists are published per flavor along with a facility-sharing statement, but the manufacturing location, supplier identities, and any product warranty or defect remedy beyond a discretionary replacement are not disclosed.

Suitable, under adult supervision, for children over one who eat solid foods; the bars are about 60-70% dates, which keeps them soft and easy to chew. The Carrot Cake bar lists walnuts without saying how finely they are ground.
