Skout Organic Small Batch Kids Fruit Bar Variety Pack

The wrapper that holds each bar until it's eaten is the food-contact surface here, and nothing is published about its material composition, any migration testing, or bisphenol/phthalate status.

Packs shipped to California carry a Proposition 65 warning for lead. Lead in Skout's bars is given as about 2.6 micrograms per bar, but the published figures do not agree in their units, and no cadmium, arsenic or mercury results are given.

These fruit-flavored kids bars contain 0g added sugar, sweetened only by organic dates and fruit, and the line names the few flavors elsewhere that use small amounts of maple syrup or coconut sugar rather than hiding them.

Each flavor in this pack is listed as fully nut free, but the bars are not made in a nut-free facility: the same facility also processes gluten, dairy, grain, soy, wheat and eggs, with an allergen cleaning process between runs. No nuts are among the ingredients.

The bars are shelf-stable with a stated 12-month shelf life from production date and a 'cool, dry place' storage instruction.

Each flavor's full ingredient list is published, every ingredient is organic, and the organic claim is scoped to the finished product and certified by the named certifier Oregon Tilth under USDA National Organic Program standards, not scoped to a single ingredient.

No recall naming Skout Organic appears in the FDA food recall and enforcement database, which covers reports from June 2012 to October 2026, and the same search does return other snack-bar recalls, so this is a clean record rather than a missed search.

The bars are named as USDA Certified Organic (Oregon Tilth), Certified Vegan (Vegan.org), Certified Gluten-Free (GFCO) and Certified Plastic Neutral (rePurpose Global), each asserted for the finished product and tied to a specific named certifier rather than a vague logo claim.

The full ingredient list for each flavor is published along with shelf life and storage guidance, but the manufacturing location, supplier sourcing details and any product warranty or defect remedy terms beyond a general quality-assurance statement are not disclosed.

These bars are suitable under adult supervision from age one for children able to eat solid foods, and the texture is soft because the bars are 60-70% organic dates, directly addressing the choking-risk question for this soft, nut-free product.
