The wrapper and box that meet the bars and cookies until eaten have no published material, barrier or migration information anywhere in the brand's copy, and nothing describes the packaging's food-contact chemistry.

This pack contains the Chocolate Peanut Butter Kids Bar. An independent lab test of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Kids Bar, reported in October 2024, found 42 ppb cadmium, 10 ppb lead and 6 ppb arsenic, with mercury not detected; cadmium and lead were above the action levels proposed in the 2021 Baby Food Safety Act. No recall or regulator action followed. Packs shipped to California also carry a Proposition 65 warning for lead.

The kids bars carry 0 g added sugar and are sweetened only with organic dates and fruit, apart from French Toast's under 1 g of maple syrup; the cookies are sweetened with organic coconut sugar, dates and maple syrup, all named.

The brand discloses the nine major allergens processed in its shared facility by name (gluten, dairy, grain, soy, wheat, eggs) and states a cleaning process runs between production cycles, plus names which bars are fully nut-free; it also states plainly it does not operate a dedicated nut-free facility.

We found a stated shelf life (12 months for bars, 9 for cookies) and a storage instruction to keep products in a cool, dry place, but no stated storage temperature range, melt point, or opened-pack window, and no testing behind the shelf-life figure.

The full ingredient list is published for every flavor in the bundle, and the organic claim is scoped to the finished product and named to its certifier: USDA Certified Organic, verified by Oregon Tilth, applying across the whole catalog rather than to a single ingredient.

No recall naming Skout Organic appears in the FDA food recall and enforcement database, which covers reports from June 2012 to October 2026, and the same search does return other snack-bar recalls, so this is a clean record rather than a missed search.

Every bar and cookie carries four named, finished-product certifications: USDA Organic (Oregon Tilth), Certified Vegan (Vegan.org), Certified Gluten-Free (GFCO), and Certified Plastic Neutral (rePurpose Global), each naming its own certifying body rather than being a self-applied logo.

Ingredients are fully listed per flavor, shelf life is stated (12 months for bars, 9 for cookies), and the manufacturing facility is disclosed as shared with gluten, dairy, soy, wheat and egg lines with a stated cleaning process between runs. Country of manufacture is not published.

Suitable, under adult supervision, for children over one who eat solid foods; the bars are about 60-70% dates, which keeps them soft and easy to chew. The Carrot Cake bar lists walnuts without saying how finely they are ground, and no age is given for the Soft-Baked Cookies.
