CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

83 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Flame-Retardant-Free Foam 77

Nothing we found names the seat foam or states it is free of added flame retardants; the brand's testing claim addresses general safety regulations without naming flame retardants at all.

Safety Standard Compliance 88

Colugo states its strollers meet ASTM F833 and 16 CFR 1227, the US stroller standards, but this model is not named in that statement and no test report or Children's Product Certificate is published. Its JPMA certification claim is not recorded by the Baby Safety Alliance, which lists no Colugo stroller.

PFAS-Free Fabric 87

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified fabric, which screens for harmful substances, is claimed for this stroller line, but the claim is not scoped specifically as PFAS-free testing for the seat and canopy of this finished product.

JPMA Structural Certification 72

Colugo states its strollers are JPMA certified to ASTM F833, and Target's own item data for this stroller lists 'JPMA Certified', but the Baby Safety Alliance, which runs JPMA certification, lists no Colugo product among its verified strollers, so the certification is not confirmed by its issuer.

Recall History 95

We queried the CPSC recall database directly across its full corpus and found no record naming this brand in any role. A control search confirms the registry covers comparable product classes like strollers and carriers, so the clean result reflects an actual clean history.

Textile & Foam Chemistry 84

Only internal and third-party testing meeting US safety regulations is undertaken, with no flame-retardant or PFAS-specific claim for this stroller's seat foam or fabric, and no test method or result named anywhere.

Certification Credibility 72

Colugo calls its strollers JPMA certified and Target's own item data for this stroller lists 'JPMA Certified', but the Baby Safety Alliance, which runs JPMA certification, lists no Colugo product among its verified strollers. No other certification is named for this stroller.

Mechanical Safety Features 91

An independent review details the Compact+'s redesigned auto-fold (one button, no latch) and a new flat circular harness buckle replacing an earlier two-pin design that caused finger indentations, describing both mechanisms concretely.

Transparency & Support 84

It partners only with manufacturers who share its safety vision, without naming the country of manufacture, specific materials beyond organic cotton, or any warranty terms for this accessory.

Washable Covers & Off-Gassing 84

Removable, machine-washable comfort liner and seat insert are confirmed on this stroller by an independent review and the brand itself, but no airing or off-gassing guidance is published anywhere we found.
